Use when
A board, leadership team, class, or workshop needs a bounded way to enter XQ without confusing completion of the method with the purpose of the session.
What it prevents
The timebox from changing evidence standards, falsifiers, human ownership, or the obligation to name what remains blocked.
Run it
- 30 minutes — Decision Triage: one decision, inherited model, one material exclusion, one human tension, three directions in headlines, one written rejection, owner, falsifier, horizon.
- 60 minutes — Field Pressure: add the human reconstruction, accumulated meaning, three active lenses with at least one grain each, competing directions, rejection, authorship, and bet.
- 90 minutes — Spend-Ready or Blocked: complete evidence, pressure the preferred direction in-system, map decision locus where relevant, complete the Defense Memo/Horizon/Continuity check, and decide spend-ready, redesign, or blocked.
- Half day — Complete the full cumulative sequence, run the stranger test, and specify the handoff/continuity conditions.
Redline example
A thirty-minute triage would have been sufficient to stop the awareness plan from becoming automatic: the decision, VIP model, proof-demand exclusion, Dayline alternative, celebrity rejection, Maya ownership, falsifier, and Resonate horizon could all be made visible before anyone reviewed creative. The longer session was needed only because evidence and operating dependencies remained unresolved.

Stop rule
